FAQ – Pregnancy Yoga

Q. When can I start the pregnancy yoga classes?

A. When you feel physically strong enough, you are able to start from 12 weeks onward. If you still feel really tired or you have issues with morning sickness, then I would suggest to give yourself a few more weeks before starting.

Q. I have never done yoga before, are these classes suitable for me?

A. Yes, they are. Most of the women who are joining have never done yoga before. The postures are easy and suitable for all levels of yoga. You will be advised to work at your own pace and to feel what your body is able to do without placing too much pressure on yourself. Pregnancy Yoga needs to be enjoyable.

Q. I have complications with my pregnancy, can I still join?

A. If you have complications with your pregnancy, it is important to discuss your health problems with me beforehand so that I can support you as best as I can. Most of the time we can work around a lot of things. If you are unsure, I would advise you to discuss this with your main health care provider to see if they approve for you to participate in these classes.

Q. I’m carrying twins, are these classes suitable for me in regard to the exercises?

A. Yes, the exercises will accommodate your twin pregnancy

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. Please bring your own yoga mat, a yoga block and a small firm cushion to help you sit more comfortably on the floor.

Q. I have less than 12 weeks to go and the course has started already, can I still join and do I still need to pay for the full course?

A. It’s never to late to start. If there is space, then you can still enrol. You could either come for fewer classes or you could come to 2 different venues to make up as many classes as possible. The price will be adjusted accordingly.

Q. I will be missing some classes as I’m going on a holiday, do I get a refund?

A. Within one course you can miss two classes and catch up at a different venue, free of charge.  If you miss more than two classes and you would like to catch up on them, then the additional charge will be $10.00 per class.

Q. I’m working shift hours but I would like to join. Are you able to accommodate this?

A. Yes, I do. Within one course you can miss three classes and catch up on them in a different venue free of charge. If you miss more than three classes and you would like to catch up on them then the additional charge will be $10.00 per class.

Q. How can I pay for the classes?

A. The fee for the full course is $255.00 which includes a non-refundable cancelation fee of $65.00. The full amount can be paid with cash on the day or through online banking before the start of the course on Mahina Mahai 123100017551401 with the mention of your full name and course date. Unfortunately, there are no EFTPOS facilities on the premises.

Q. What is the refund policy for the 12 week pregnancy yoga course?

A. When you decide to stop at any point during the course, you will not be refunded the $65.00 cancelation fee. Alongside this all the classes which have been up until the time of cancelation will be deducted even for the one you have missed. 

Q. What happens if I no longer wish to continue with the pregnancy yoga course?

A. If you decide to no longer continue with the course, you will need to call and cancel 24 hours before the start of the following class. Please note that you will not be refunded for any missed classes.

Q. What is the refund policy for the postnatal yoga classes and the baby massage course?

A. These classes/courses are non refundable
